Common consoles typically feature a main frame that includes left and right side windows, as well as top and bottom measurements. These components connect through universal fittings to form an independent module, where all parts are interchangeable. Once linked, the modules have internal connectivity that allows various cables to pass freely within the console. Consoles generally come in two main structures: cold-rolled steel and aluminum profiles. Let’s take a closer look at the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Cold-rolled steel is known for its excellent strength and load-bearing capacity. Usually, steel with a thickness of 2-3mm is used, which is processed through bending, punching, or laser cutting to form the main frame of the console.
Common surface treatment: Electrostatic powder coating.
At Easy Consoles, we often use a matte, non-slip texture for our steel frame’s powder coating. This provides both protection and aesthetics, making it more durable and resistant to wear, fingerprints, and scratches compared to smooth, shiny finishes.
Advantages: Strong load-bearing capacity, high stability, and relatively low cost compared to aluminum.
Disadvantages: Heavier, which can affect portability and mobility; if not treated properly, it may rust in humid environments.
Aluminum profiles are lightweight, visually appealing, and highly resistant to corrosion, making them an ideal choice for high-end and lightweight consoles.
Common surface treatments: Anodizing and electrostatic powder coating.
At Easy Consoles, we often choose aluminum frames for our premium consoles, although they come at a higher price compared to steel frames.
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to move and install, excellent corrosion resistance, and a natural oxidation layer that effectively prevents rust. They are also suitable for humid environments. Additionally, aluminum dissipates heat well, helping to extend the lifespan of equipment. Its flexible design allows for complex structures, and aluminum is recyclable, meeting environmental standards. Anodizing and electrophoretic treatment can offer a variety of colors and textures, enhancing appearance.
Disadvantages: Higher cost, susceptible to scratches, and may deform under extreme temperatures.
